About Judge Tacie Zelhart
Judge Tacie Zelhart is a mother, wife & cancer survivor. She has a long history of standing up for those in need. Before opening her own law firm, she served as Chief Prosecutor in the Harris County Court System. Her extensive experience in all areas of law and her specialized training in representing individuals with mental illness and intellectual disabilities make Judge Zelhart the ideal choice to continue to lead our newest County Court at Law. In fact, in her first year on the bench, Judge Zelhart started Hays County’s first Mental Health Specialty Court
Judge Zelhart has support from every corner of our community. Judge Zelhart is a graduate of Texas A&M University and received her law degree from Texas Tech University. She and her husband Andrew have one son, Will. They are deeply involved in the Hays County community.
